Can the effects of some diseases be reversed or stopped in space?

I think the answer to that is yes.

Any disease that can be mitigated by reducing your weight upon bones and tissues would benefit from weightless or low-gravity conditions. This would also include some vascular diseases. The problem is that, for now, we do not know how to stop other degenerative conditions that could follow prolonged weightlessness. For example, bone mass is reduced significantly in long- duration flights. This could exacerbate the same condition you are trying to treat.
