Long ago, astronomers proposed that this might be possible, but it is now considered an unlikely prospect because it would then be necessary to propose how so much anti-matter could be kept separate from matter until it was ready to become involved in the quasar phenomenon which began a billion years after the Big Bang. It is now almost universally believed that supermassive black holes, of the kind detected by the Hubble Space Telescope, are the true power sources of quasars as they consume entire stars and vast dust clouds, converting the matter into enormous outpourings of energy.
