Where can I get information about stellar spectral types, distances etc?

The NASA, NSSDC has hundreds of catalogs, many of which are online or available via CDROM. They have a NSSDC Search page. Enter Yale Bright Star Catalog. They also have their Astronomical Catalogs CDROM which contains the Yale Bright Star Catalog. This catalog includes information on the spectral class, brightness and distance to thousands of the brightest stars in the sky.
