Is the Great White Spot on Saturn a periodic phenomenon and what causes it?
So far as I have been able to find out, the Great White Spot has not been
identified as a periodic phenomenon, although when Saturn reaches perihelion
every 29.45 years its atmosphere may be slightly more succeptible to
disturbances due to its slightly smaller distance to the Sun.
