What are the scientific names for the lunar phases?

Other than the ones we all use, ( waxing and waning, plus first quarter, last quarter, full and new for example) there are no scientific names, however, we prefer to work in terms of 'phase angles' or 'percent illumination' since these are mathematically precise and calculable.
