Your question may be based on a legitimate news story published somewhere, but I cannot even imagine what the story might have been to become interpreted in this way!

The only thing I can think of is an Urban Legend that some NASA scientist discovered a 'missing day' that corresponded to a Biblical story of God making the Earth stop spinning for a day. This 'discovery' never happened, but many web sites keep running the story the same way they do the one that says we never went to the moon.
