What do we know about the seismic activity on Mars?

The only seismic station ever placed on Mars was in 1976 by the NASA Viking program. It was a simple device, that was able to detect the motion of the Viking Lander due to buffeting by winds, but detected no seismic activity on Mars to its sensitivity limit. Together with the fact that Mars has no magnetic field, suggests its core is solid, not liquid, and we are about 1 billion years too late to see anything interesting happen.
