Yes. In a remote canyon in Yosemity Valley near Merced Lake, I was fixing dinner after a long hike, when in the distance I saw a thunder storm approaching. It never passed overhead, but the eastern horizon was pretty cloudy. Then in the distance I heard a pair of deeply resonating, low tones about two octaves below middle-C and about a semi-tone apart, that just seemed to come out of nowhere, they cycled between High and Low for about 4 times, then vanished. I imagined that winds from the storm may have excited some kind of resonance in something, but could never figure out what. The effect was captivating, and absolutely eery.
One night around sunset, I happened to be looking up at the sky when I saw a formation of what appeared to be 7 or 8 unresolvable lights flying westwards in a V-shaped constellation. They moved at a rather high angular rate of speed and traveled from directly overhead to the horizon in about 10 seconds. The only thing I could think about was a flock of birds, but this explanation didn't seem to fit in with their high angular speed. They would not have been very high up considering how fast birds fly, to be traversing the sky so quickly. Jets would have made a noise and left behind contrails.
I have seen my fair share of fireballs; some were so spectacular that I gasped for air; but they were 'just' fireballs.
I have also had my fair share of odd experiences in that wonderland between being fully awake, and still in a dream state: Body completely rigid and unable to move, while some nameless terror moved about the bedroom in darkness. But the brain and body are wonderful things, especially when they get out of sync. I do not doubt that these experiences are just bad bits of bread floating about in my stomach!
