What is a "Sorcerer's Moon"?

I have never heard of this type of moon, although I have heard of a Sorcerer's Apprentice! The person that asked this question thought that it might have to do with the first-quarter 'crescent moon' phase, probably because this kind of lunar phase is seen so often on the hats of wizards! I know of no other reason for this moniker, however.
