Not really. My big concern for the next generation is that we have been so effective in discovering new things in the 20th century, that we may have peaked out for discovering all the simple and cheap things we can. Future discoveries to stand against relativity and quantum mechanics will have to be very expensive to get and very hard won. I am pretty happy about what we have discovered so far, and I like the picture that we have drawn of the physical universe as we know it.
